Artist's Comments
This was inspired by the human body, specifically the circulatory system and the manner in which we 'blush'.
This work took months to construct. It was crafted using red wool, dentist's wax, coloured candle wax, red acrylic paint, wooden canvas frames, wood, screws, clear cellophane, beads and a lightbulb attached directly to power. The frames were cut using an industrial saw. It is a fully functional "lamp", however it is very delicate. |
